Elite Boss "Tree of Judgement" in Kryta Area??
As I was browsing the web for a nice target to use my first SoC, I stumbled across these 3 pages on major GW websites:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...ment-id382.php http://www.gwonline.net/page.php?p=102 http://guildwars.gameamp.com/guildwars/viewCaptures These pages list a monk boss named "The Tree of Judg(e)ment", which is supposed to live in the Black Curtain area (Kryta) and supposedly has the elite skill "Signet of Judg(e)ment". Can anybody confirm this information is correct? I'm wondering because as far as I know ALL other elite bosses are in the Southern Shiverpeaks, Ring of Fire and Crystal Desert. This would be the only boss in the Kryta area that has an elite skill. Note: Xennon doesn't list that boss. |

This boss does exist. I ran into him on the quest "Villany of Galrath." He wasn't too difficult.

He exists. Good to know.
But does he really have that elite skill? |

I was using my Me/E so I don't know first hand. But I think one of the other guys with us said he already had the skills IIRC.... definitely worth checking out for yourself though.

Even if he doesn't have Signet of Judgement, he is also supposed to have Balthazar's Aura and/or Convert Hexes. No Elite skills, but still worth using an SoC, cos they are not available from skill trainers until MUCH later in the game.
You don't happen to recall by any chance which corner of the Black Curtain area you ran into him? |

As a matter of fact you are correct, he did receive Balthazar's Aura. I'll have to look at my map and see if I can recall anything (played it a few days ago)...but it seemed like it was halfway through that mission. You didn't have to fight him b/c he wasn't on the path, but someone in the group knew he was there...

He's in the area with all the fog shadows and the shadow of death boss. Leave the temple of ages and go east through the swamps. You'll have to do a bit of wading to find him. For the record, the Shadow of Death boss is one of the hardest for this portion of the game. He's level 24 and even with a full group of henchmen he took about 5 minutes to wear down. I doesn't help that his lesser shadow buddies also like to come and thwack you while you're hitting him.

he exists, he is roughly south of temple of ages as you head to the peaks for galrath.... HOWEVER, please note the information is incorrect and you CANNOT capture an elite skill from him. i was pretty pumped at the idea of getting my first elite skill with my w/mo, so i went out and found him, solo'd him (lvl 24) and his 2 redwood guards at lvl 17 (this was before i had gotten it through my thick head that solo'ing really doesnt matter unless youre trying to farm). the fight took me a good 5-7 minutes... and i had a few choice words after that gruelling fight when i popped signet of capture and didnt see anything with a gold border :|.
i think he did have balthasar's aura though, which i use all the time now when i respec for smite farming |

Supposedly, there are no elite skills pre-ascension (or southern shiverpeaks, if you want to be picky).

There's one elite skill per profession in the desert missions.

I chopped down the tree and checked the lumber. This is what I found:
- Baltazar's Aura - Scourge Healing - Bane Signet - Healing Breeze He does NOT have Signet of Judgement {Elite} or Convert Hexes. |
